Finished!

Say this handle wrapping stuff is fun. OK It's not the cleanest job around, but:

You know I like it!!! Very nice, welcome to the addiction. ;) :D

That's purty. Nice photo too. I guess I need to get off my butt and use my wrapping lessons I received from Larry Nowicki.

I like it too Steve. I am still practicing the wrapping Larry showed us.

That reminds me of a funny and embarrassing thing that happened to me at the last gun show. I found a table that had a lot of what appeared to be, original sword parts...tsubas, etc. He had a lot of original looking blades too. I spotted a tanto blade that looked like a copy. It was too clean and new looking.

I asked how much and the fellow said "eighteen". I asked what was wrong with it and he said "nothing, I've just had it for a while"

I gave him a twenty and told him to keep the change. He blew his top and yelled "eighteen hundred smart ass"

As I've said many times. God likes to keep me humble! :o

Don that made me laugh. I had a similar thing happen at a gun show a few months ago. A guy was looking at a David Dill scale release and I'd been explaining all the work Dill does on his knives. The guy asked how much and I said, "Six Fifty." He looked surprised, which I took as the typical sticker shock uneducated people get when they're first looking at custom knives. Then he pulled out a ten and I had to explain, "Six hundred fifty." He walked away muttering. :D I think he was more embarrassed than humbled though. :D

Steve that is awesome! The blade turned out great and your handle wrap looks excellent. What's next? Waki? Thanks for sharing,

That's funny I guess I'm too direct about prices, never had something like that happen yet.

Steve, that knife is a beauty. I like the Japanese styles (always have) but, that one just made me stand up and look again and again. I'm really staring at the screen hard and it's hurting my eyes. Great knife buddy.

Beutiful work, love the hamon, I'm kinda like J, my eyes are hurting from staring at the screen

Steve, that is a BIG WoW. Clean it certainly IS. I really do like that. WELL DONE ol'HT'n buddy.

RL

Really do like that Steve. Just had to look at it again. What clay did you use? I really do like the way that quench turned out. Did you wire wrap the clay?

RL

Thanks guys!

Roger, the clay was like satanite, but I'm not sure what it really was. Nope no wire around it. Vagnino deserves the credit for the quench.

I wish the color wasn't off, the silk is actually maroon, not glowing red.

Sushi? Hmmm, maybe good enough to let you use the blade, but not own it LOL.

There's a lot I learned on this project. Can't wait to do anyother.

Steve
