I've finished my second knife. This one is 9.5 in. oal with a 5 in. blade. Steel is old file, edge quenched. Handle is elk with brass guard and pin. Well, I've only got good files left and my brass punch is already an inch shorter; guess it's time to start on some O1 and order other materials. I really like this knife making stuff.
Thanks for looking.

Greg

PS: I made this for my sweetie, she likes this picture of it better.

WoW Man, is that really the second knife you've made(?). No matter, it's really good looking work. Is that a flat over hollow grind??

Greg....that is really nice......I like the slim profile. You need to put it in an inside waistband sheath.

Very nice temperline too!

Thanks guys!:)

Roger: It's mostly a flat grind. I convexed the tip some
for a little extra strength there.

Greg: I think an IWB sheath is an excellent idea. I made this for my girlfriend. She said she'd like to try making a sheath for it when I make one for my first knife. She had a great time at the "End of Trail SASS World Championship", so much so that she has a couple of period blouses and skirts to wear to it. I think it would make a fine belt for her to wear there.

Yeah Dan, I've got the bug.

Thanks again,
Greg

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments, they are much appreciated. A big bonus for me is that my girlfriend is real happy with the knife.

Greg.

Really nice knife. My second was even too ugly for me. I made damascus with it years later!
