Hi folks, thought I'd post a couple of pic's of some Ebauche's i've just finished. They come as a #8 with an unfinished handle (see bottom pic) and you shape it to what you want. I've kept mine shaped for EDC but you can get really fancy if you like.

Both these are in Walnut, I really like the idea of being able to take the Opinel and make it your own. You can tinker with as standard Opinel but your options are more limited as you have less wood to play with.

Each one took 2-3 hours shaping with a Rosselli carpenters knife before finishing with a med/fine wood file and sandpaper before an overnight soak with Linseed oil.

This is a cool idea. I didn't know they offered these. Thanks for the heads up.

Is that chair a giant hand?

I'll post a pic when I can get out with le camera (I'll pop a knife on it for the sake of continuity!). I didn't make it, a chap makes them in Brighton, it was a wedding present to us from my best man:)

From what I can see of it the chair looks great too!
