It has been a long road from start to finish with this Seax. You might recognize this blade from a while ago when I was working on the other seax. That other seax was a practices knife to get me ready for this project as I had never made one before. It is now boxed up and getting ready to be shipped out to its new home today. I thought I would share the finished pictures of the blade and sheath as there is never to many pictres on this forum. If any of you are interested in a "How I Made It" thread let me know. I take pictures of every step along the way so i have a rather large collection so far.

here is the stats
Steel is 15n20/1075 with a 5160 core.
Handle is stacked wrought iron, copper and walrus ivory with redwood burl.
Sheath is 10oz veg tan with a diluted golden brown die and Acrylic Resolene with antiquing.
Copper is hammer finished and held in place with hand made copper rivets.
Thanks for looking guys and I hope I can inspire others to go out and push themselves to make something unique.

Very nice! I love copper on knives, it looks amazing. I also really like damascus that has few layers like this. Oh, and I love wrought iron! This one checks all the boxes for me!

I would love to see how its made too!

Yep I pictures of the entire project from start to finish. But I warn you I am not a leather worker so I cant guarantee that i did any of it correctly lol. I will try and remember post a build thread tonight.

I like the coin edge spacers.

Diggedy dang. You are keeping that one right?
No I am not, it has a loving home that has been patently waiting for it. But there definitely will be more seaxs comping out of my shop. It's a very fun blade to make. Next one will be forged from mutable stacked twist bars.

Not going to be original, but like everyone else said, that looks great, is that for your ABS? You need to post pics of more of your stuff, JT.

But I warn you I am not a leather worker so I cant guarantee that i did any of it correctly lol.

If it works and looks good, it's done correctly, no?

I've really enjoyed reading about all your projects, I've been dreaming about doing a lot of similar stuff for a few years once I got the damascus bug that switched my blacksmithing focus. If only I had the time to do them and space for them in my small shop.
