This first set is Zebra Wood and it's for TrailBum because he won my contest back in april. Thanks for your patience. I originally did two sets of zebrawood and was gonna send one set to Ethan, well I worked it too hard and made it to thin and had to build the thickness back up with some homespun micarta. I sent Ethan some Bird's eye maple so it free'd these ones up. There is one layer of f-18 pilot fabric in each scale. I'm fairly happy with them overall, they are a bit thinner that KaBar Grivory so they'll work great on a bk2 but will fit any of the big beckers. A body could add a liner to fatten them up. This was a repair job so it's part of a learning process.

The second set is some unknown but very hard wood with natural micarta, sorta Andy Roy style and also is to fix a set I made too thin way back when. This is for someone whom I only know, He'll be surprised when it shows up on his door. This also has 1 layer on 1 side of F-18 pilot fabric.
More shots of the zebrawood,

Yeah I really like the Zebrawood scales, not a very hard use wood. It chunks out easily. More of a presentation set really. Or use them and squirt some superglue into the chunk outs. Polished it out to 400 grit.

Fantastic work on these! I like the figuring on the zebrawood a lot.

Congrats trailbum, looking forward to some pics. What are you gonna put them on ? Very nicely done Fa'ler

Those look great. I love the idea of using nomex underwear in the micarta.

looks great as always, Im astounded how great/close u get the curves of the Becker grips working by hand. Mind boggling!

congrats 'Bum!

Thats awesome Fal'er! Still freaks me out how you can get the scales all nice and symetrical...

THose are awesome!
I was just thinking about Zebra wood today.. I bought a big brick of it a couple years ago, and have yet to use it.
If you need more bro, just email me..you can have it. Your doing good things with it, so I wouldn't have an issue sending it to you!
