This one was forged from a 50 cal. muzzle loader barrel.I didnt hollow the handle to make it a working pipe as it will just be hung on my wall for Donna (She calls it the Boyfriend chaser, our 15 year old doesnt think that is funny:D )
2 1/2 inch cutting head
Hand cut and ground Abalone shell cap on the top, copper tacks,N/S heart (hand shaped and textured)brass tacks holding the heart, hand made brass cones with store bought beads.
Any and all comments welcome, this is my first attempt at the bead work and I wasnt sure how to do it,but tried anyway as that is what Donna wanted.
Thanks for looking.
Bruce

Very cool! Its nice to see you use your artistic licence to make something original as usual. Boyfriends beware

Looks good.
The boys best behave.
And somehow I think that may include ol' Bruce too

Thanks for all the great comments everybody.Donna loves the hawk and has it monuted on the living room wall already (it is great when your wife decorates the living room in a Cowboy and indian theme so your knives and things fit in:D  :D )

Mike,I heat treat my hawks just as I would one of my knives with a average rc rating at 58-59....I have a all metal handled Bowie on the bench at the moment, gonna try my hand at finally engraving a knife myself(been practicing for years, now it is time)..

Again,Thanks Everybody...
