Had some extra time to myself this weekend, so decided to finish up some sheaths for my Busse knives.
Full disclosure... I don't have a ton of experience working with leather, so if they look a little rough around the edges, that's because they are. But I tried out some new ideas. And they're pretty stout - 9oz. leather all around with heavy duty stitching. You'll also notice they all have a loop for a small flashlight. I find myself using a flashlight WAY more often than firesteel, so I like that configuration a lot better.
First up are some pants for the TG-M. I bought a little 4" Boker a while back (blade is only 1.8"), and thought it would be cool to attach that to the back of the TG-M sheath. Worked out better than I thought it would - you'd never even notice it was tucked away back there. Just grab the thin black paracord, and it pops right out of the kydex.
Next up is a sheath for my Custom Shop SOB. I wanted to try a different approach to knife retention, so I used 550 paracord instead of a leather keeper. The cool part is, there's a reverse snap on the upper part of the belt loop, so you can snap the paracord keeper up and out of the way. I was actually surprised how well this method works. (BTW, I haven't burnished the edges on this one yet.)
Lastly, we have a sheath for my Infidu. This one is pretty straightforward. Super tight fit, however. (Which I like.) Really fits the knife well.
Here's a group shot. Thanks for looking.
