I just attached the handles on my knife and finished sanding the dymond wood (gray/red), and noticed that it has a very dull finish.
I would like to receive some advise how to make the finish glossy.

When you have sanded the wood down to 600 grit or better, you simply buff it with white compound.

thank you for the reply P.K. what is the name of the white compound? I'm new at this.

I'm rather new myself - the white compound I use is for polishing stainless steel. For a little extra shine try some chrome-polish.I use that on almost everything with a hard surface - horn, bone, stag, ivory to name a few.

I use white rouge. I buy it from JANTZ SUPPLUY in DAVIS, OK. Threir number for it is LA555. Take care! Michael

i've worked on lots of dymond wood and found that if you polish to 2500 grit, than buff it should be very glossy. never use a liquid finish on it though, i tried linseed oil, and it wouldn't soak in.

A good buffing will do, CR and maybe follow up with green chrome afterwards.
You can try paste wax on the handle but after handling, you're right back where you started.
