Does anyone have any suggestions for finishing G-10, other that bead or sand blasting?

I want to obtain a semi rough finish, but I don't have access to a blaster.

Thanks in advance, gang.

well you can cut to shape and start with 50g paper and work you way up to the finish you want. (good old elbow grease) i take micarta to 220g for a working finish.

I finish G-10 with 220 grit sandpaper. Anything higher than that and it comes out pretty slick.

You might look into one of those little metal cabinets from Harbor Frieght.. I got mine for about $70, and it works great..
I use glass bead in it, and it gives a nice textured finish on G-10 in just a few minutes..

I'll try the sandpaper trick.

I haven't decided if I'm going to get into this knifemaking thing yet, so I'm using what equipment I have on hand.

Thanks again.
