I know some people bead blast their handle scales and stonewash them. Some people anodize them. Does anyone use a scotchbrite belt on their titanium handles to finish them, before either stonewashing or anodizing? I haven't gotten my blasting cabinet and compressor (yet) and was just curious what kind of finish I could expect from a scotchbrite belt and then either stonewashing or anodizing.

A scotchbrite belt will just leave a satin brushed finish with rounded over corners (nothing will be crisp). You can try it on a scrap piece of ti to see how it would look probably

I'm not sure about a belt, but this is what a scotchbrite pad does to bead blasted titanium.

I have a few scotchbrite belts, I need to get a scrap piece and see what kind of finish it leaves. Thanks!

What type of media are you blasting with? Are you just using scotchbrite pads from Lowes or HomeDepot to achieve that finish? Looks great!!

i like wire wheel over scott brite belt for a more durable finish i find the belt finish is nice and fine but mars easy wire wheel also "holds ano" better

Interesting, never thought of that, looks like I need to get another scrap piece to try it out. Thanks.
