Finland wins Eurovision

The usual raft of purveyors of bland pop were swept aside by the Kiss-emulating heavy Metal band Lordi!

Well, at least next years contest might actually be worth watching. I normally spend the duration of the competition in a dugout in the garden listening to punk rock at maximum volume on my walkman.

One might thing the site I chose to link to rather unusual, even controversial, but it was one of the first to come up when I performed a search. Interesting, hmm?

Hooray for Lordi. If you disregard Kiss and GWAR and Slipknot and the Misfits, they've got a pretty original thing going there. :D

As a side note, why was the link removed? Are we practising censorship now?
 
The link was removed because the news agency it was linked to supports terrorism. There where 50 other links to that story and he chose the wrong one. His original post was moved but not deleted.

I did not know that. Maybe next time you could provide a reason for your censorship and maybe some proof too, because I don't like the idea of having a set of pre-approved links on these forums.

I do not need to provide a reason as to why it was removed. His choice of link was not acceptable for Community. A copy of the link is in the mod's forum and it was replaced with a more suitable link. There are no set pre-approved links on this forum. Link to whatever you like but when the link directs you to a site that is objectionable or promotes hatred of America it will be acted upon post haste.

Arrogant? No. I'm not required to give a reason. Normally I do but in this case it was best left unsaid to avoid what we now have...confrontation and the accusation of censorship. But I gave you one after you asked now didn't I? The next time you have a question regarding my moderation of a thread please take it to PM.
 
What is really arrogant is to be a non-paying member of a forum and to demand that the owner and moderators must provide you justification for their actions and proof that they are telling the truth.

He used to be Platinum but has since been deactivated. Wonder what happened there? :confused:
 
He's now in the user category "users awaiting email confirmation." When you try to change your password or email address and then don't respond to the confirming email you find yourself in that category.
