Some may remember the Norse axe I was working on last week. Well, got the paracord wrap done, and she is about done. All that is left is to put a edge on her. It was dark when I got done wrapping, so I didnt get to sink it up in anything for a pic.
Anyhow, for whatever reason, the blue is nearly gone, but it did leave a unique grey/blue film behind which I am pretty happy with.
New pics are at the bottom.
Well, the plan was sound anyhow. The blue just didnt take as good as I wanted. I think it still looks pretty good. Its getting lighter as I apply poly.
Stock Norse Axe.
Took 2in off the length put the torch to the handle, bead blasted, de-burred the head, and primed.
1st coat of paint on head, 1st coat of stain.
different angle
sanded some more, 1st coat of polyAlso, it was daytime when I made the other pics. for some reason, the pic does not show how blue it is. Its def not at blue as before, but its more blue than the photo is showing.
FInshed Product. I need to put an edge on it.
