Finsihed spiked tomahawk.....

This is the finished spiked tomahawk from the forging I posted yesterday. The head is 10" with a cutting edge of just under 3". Dyed buckskin wrap with 70 brass pins. I sure hope the USP doesn't lose this one.... The pig sticker is just in there for effect.....

Your comments are appreciated! Got to admit I was hoping the customer wouldn't like this hawk and I could hold onto it for awhile longer. Its now in the hands of the US Mail and thats pretty scary. I really like how this one turned out so I'm going to see if I can remember how to do a few more this next week.

Bill, I'm thinking either plain maple or hickory. I bought a batch of pre-made's awhile back and never was told what they were.
