Fire Branded or Laser Engraved?

We're considering the reintroduction of our initial "fire-branded" handles for the Rogers' Rangers line. While laser is a totally cleaner look, the fire branding is definitely more "period" and has its own character.

Attached is a poll for Fire Branded or Laser Engraved. Sample images are below for your review. We'd like your opinion.

By no means would personalized engraving no longer be available...we're just talking about the standard markings on the handles.

I voted fire branded...It looks like it would last longer, and it's a little darker.

I cant vote either, but if you want a historic-looking 'hawk, then it should be made using methods of the time.

Does either effect the handle strength less? Is it like a baseball bat brand, you know don't hit there?

i like my laser engraved handle just fine but i can see fire branded gives it the antique look so i'll go for fire too
