I was boasting about how I have it easy around here making fire last week, and a member contacted me and asked me to provide a little more information. One thing lead to another and I made a rather poor quality video...but a few people seem to have enjoyed it, so I thought I would share it with you guys. I like watching how you guys do things, so perhaps you will enjoy watching what I do?

I will not labor this...the first video is mainly me collecting the materials to make a small fire in Central Missouri (with my son on a day hike). We then lit a small gassification stove that I either learned how to build here or on BCUSA (I honestly can not recall...I only know that I did NOT invent it, but I would like all interested parties to know about it because it is a great piece of kit!). SO in that regard, the second video shows the broad strokes of how to make the stove.

Hope you guys enjoy! There is nothing new here (in fact I learned a lot of what I know on this forum...so I am basically just repeating what some people here taught me), but sometimes videos are fun to watch.

thanks for the nice videos. my sons are grown now and i wish all the time they were young again so we can hike, hunt and camp again. now we are all too busy. "cats in the cradle"

I have been blessed with some incredible boys that (so far), still enjoy spending time with me and are willing to put down the video games once in a while to do so. I fully intend to ride this wave as far as it takes me!

Playing with knives and fire seems to help me hold onto their attention;)

Excellent video, and good job for taking your kid along. I wish more people could find time to do things like this with their children instead of just buying them video games.

nice vid! i made one of those stoves too (progresso soup can inside of a 1qt ace paint can)....but i always seem to grab my old hobo stove...i got 2 boys too, theyre still young but i cant wait to take them into the out of doors.
