Couldn't make it to the gathering last weekend - But was there in spirit !

We were making hay, but still managed to throw back a few cold ones and have pretty good fire Becker style !

Here's my fire from last week. Took forever to get it started with the Gobspark Armageddon. I'm new at this.

Had to make a bunch of fuzz sticks. Never tell me a BK-2 can't to fine work.

Finally, success, after I used a bunch of fatwood shavings to get it started.

Been lurking for a few weeks now, bought my first Becker last week, and I'm in love. Got a BK16 from Spark. Took a few minutes yesterday to try the one stick fire, and in the process, taught my 4 year old son how to baton. Looking back, I should have grabbed some shots of him and the nice pile I had of my tinder, kindling and fuel.

Oh well, here is my humble little one stick fire. (I did have to use a little dryer lint to get it going. I'm still getting the hang of it.)
