Alright, I'm a pyromaniac, and I felt like going to the back yard and making a small fire, using the BK-2, a lighter, and some cotton balls. Here's some pics.

All the stuff

Pulled out the cotton balls

Put wood shavings on the cotton balls

Hard to see flames in this one, but they are there

Can easily see flames here

I was gonna show you all of it, but then my camera battery died, and I didn't want to go in the house to get another battery and leave the fire unattended, sorry.
Well, it was fun tho', thanks fo' looking.

I would, but I hurt my wrist pretty bad the other day, it still hurts when I bend it the wrong way, just like how I would have to with the firesteel.

It did, for a total of about 15 mins. it was very windy today, and I was very surprised it stayed that long. The 2 pieces in the tepee burnt too.

That BK2 is looking well used all ready.

Next time roast a small animal on the blade. ;)

Oh, if you want to buy a BK-2, they are on amazon for $60 USD, I hope that's not deal spotting.

If you put petroleum jelly on those cotton balls they burn bigger, brighter, and longer and you only need 1 to get a fire started

Clich, this is true, I have done it many times. It also helps to rub the petroleum jelly on the wood.

Hmmm where could he be.....think think think...maybe somewhere awesome? Maybe somewhere people have been signing up for months to attend?

Nah hes probably at the movies.....:D

Hilarious......... wish I was there.... going to go fondle my BK7 now... lol

Host up your own gatherings folks. It all starts with finding out how many would be interested, then set a date. After that find a location, it's easy after that.
