Fire making with my new LE-BK10

I just had to get out and test my new BK10 out, went out into a wet, muddy, bug ridden section of forest to build a fire.

Looking good Wider. Did you stain your micarta, or just oil them?
 
Yeah I love it as is but I think that thumb ramp needs to come off and have some jimping in its place and it might just replace my BK2.
 
where's the clear ground or the fire stone circle? stabbing living trees. my god! i'm sure Ethan would be pleased ;) tree murdering at its finest :D

Ha, we don't use stone fire circles in the NW.
