Hey y'all,

I have a friend who wants to buy a fire piston...

What can you tell me about them?

Which ones are good?

Thanks,

unfortunately, ebprimitives hasn't had anything listed for a month or so. I own several and can recommend in no particular order (from ebay):

Rose Mountain Fire Pistons (I have the survival series also, website at www.fire-pistons.com )
6061 Aluminum Fire Piston (by Michael McGovern email: michaelmcgo@gmail.com )

Hope it helps!

I forgot, there are also plans on the net somewhere floating around. The design uses brass nipple pipe and other hardware store bits. If you have to buy the stuff to make it and the tools, though, you won't be saving any money - at least I didn't. I made it anyway and it works first time every time, but like I said, I didn't save any money. Just search on google for: fire piston brass pipe nipple and you should have no problems finding the instructions.
