I am thinking about redoing the fire pit out in the backyard for more reflective heat. If you have a good one, let's see it!

I made a "reflector/windscreen" from a piece of tin and an old magazine rack.
I can move it to where it's the most effective.
Sorry, I don't have any pics...

Here's my backyard hang out.

Complete with its own fire hydrant.

My backyard ghetto fire pit thanks to my son. Cost me or him nothing. Not one red cent. Table from a neighbor's curb side on garbage day. Grill from a casino. Wood from a couple of trees we took out a couple of years ago. A couple of minutes to drill breathing holes around circumference of grill bottom.

We even got two chairs that go with the table.

my son made this firepit for me several years ago. I want to go up one more row of blocks, mostly for wind protection. Works very well as it is though.

Here's my backyard pit. Made from leftover bricks and a bunch of rocks the local farmers plow up in their fields each spring. Inside is about a foot of pebbles with a deeper section in the center (about a foot in diameter) that is about two feet deep and filled with the same pebbles. It helps with drainage. Filled with seasoned Black Locust wood, it puts out the heat!

My buddy and I made one with bricks from home depot, cost about $20 total.
We Google'd it first, and saw many neat ones but couldn't find the proper bricks in time and just got sidewalk bricks.
