Anyone tried a fire saw without bamboo ?
2 pieces setup versus a 5 pieces bow drill method..
I found a piece of wood on my last wild expedition that could do the trick.. thin enough to make a notch and empty on the other side for the tinder.. and strong enough probably.. too tired to test it out then. I like to keep it simple but finding THE right wood for a fire saw seem more a challenge than getting a coal from it once you found it
