Fire starter - crystal ball !

There was a wooden deck that caught on fire here recently that was started by water left outside for a dog in a curved, clear pyrex bowl. They caught it before the house caught.--KV
 
Its a fluke but stuff like that happens. I thought reading the comments was more entertaining then the article. Why are people always so judgmental and nasty. She didn't have insurance - she took the risk and lost the bet. I still feel sorry for her.

People act as though accidents don't happen and every incident is through negligence. She will have to pay for what happened but it is still a sad story of a persons loss. I suppose this is the heart of the survivalist mindset but who lives in complete paranoia to every danger with every action they do?
 
During hot dry summers, it does happen on occasions that a fire is started by some forgotten glass bottle or glass shards that acts as a lens.

It's usually the ones born with silver spoons in their mouths that just "don't understand why people don't do....whatever" they've never had to struggle so they don't comprehend it.
