Firearms Forum?? Looking for a site....

I know that this is off topic, but I just can't find it in my searches. Do you know of a similar forum dealing with firearms? I consider BladeForums the best for knives,...what's the best for firearms?

The Firing Line is great for general firearms discussion. I like it a lot. However, if you are intending to use the firearm for hunting, hiking, long-range shooting, etc., you may also want to check out www.Huntamerica.com . Several Bladeforums members, including myself and GC, are active over there (in fact, we even have a modest hunting knife forum).

By the way - despite its name, it's not just about Glocks. GlockTalk deals with all firearms.

And it uses the same software as BladeForums so BFC users will feel right at home.

For general firearm discussion and for sale forums, this is probably the best bet:

www.thefiringline.com

For 1911s, www.1911forum.com is excellent.

For pistolsmithing, and forums related to 1911s and custom 1911s, www.pistolsmith.com and the www.1911forum.com are both good.

There are other brand specific forums as well, like www.glocktalk.com and www.sigforum.com

After lurking for a bit, I just registered with the Firing Line. It seems to have it all, pistols, revolvers, rifles, auto-loaders, whatever your fancy.

The guys seem to be very helpful and they answer your questions very promptly. It is rapidly becoming the forum I turn on first in the morning over coffee. Try it out!
