my kids have been hounding me today to build a fire so they could burn some marshmellows. i finally gave in and lit a little fire well away from the house against a small concrete wall .the fire was on the grass.
we live on a farm so there is a water trough nearby for the animals.unknown to me,the plastic feeder pipe for the trough was buried 1mm below the grass under the fire.... imagine my surprise when we are all leaning over the fire happily toasting away and the fire explodes in our faces ! sending bits of wood and water everywhere at mains pressure! the heat from the fire ruptured the pipe and soaked us ! :highly_amused::highly_amused::highly_amused::
