I love my UK 4AA eLed. It isn't the brightest light but it burns forever. I also picked up the UK 4AA Q40 eLed Dive light. It's almost the same but they put in some optics and gave it some more power, man that thing throws tight beam.

But may I ask what you use the rubber door stops for?

To hold doors open. ;)

Used to prevent doors closing on hose that you're advancing into a building, to keep them open when you're carrying gear in and out, and when ventilating a property.

Cool thread! I have always been interested in Emergency Services. Seems you get a lot of cool gear to play with. You folks do an amazing job. Thank you:thumbup:

I'm a firefighter/EMT for The Boeing Company and we're issued most of our gear. That which isn't issued can be obtained from tool rooms.

In uniform around the station and in the factory I carry:

2 pens (cheapies I don't mind losing - and I lose A LOT)
Small spiral notebook
Leatherman Wave
Mini Maglite (hey, batteries are free at work!)
SAK Climber
Small velcro belt pouch with 2 pairs of latex gloves and a Microshield
A pair of Mechanix gloves in my back pocket
A pair of safety glasses around my neck on a strap

In my turn-outs (we have two sets; structural and ARFF - gear is the same in each)

Jacket Pockets:

Left Chest - Super Sabrelight
Left front - hose strap
Right front - 50' of 550 paracord

Pants Pockets:

Left leg - Pair of medium vise grips, small wire cutter, EMT Shears
Right leg - Utility knife, hose strap, folding spanner wrench, Streamlight 4AA light.

My gloves are held on a strap attached to my bunker coat. We are issued a military helmet bag for our helmets. I keep my Nomex hood in the crown of my helmet.

In my turnout gear I carry the following:
-linesman pliers
-a couple of small screwdrivers to reset fire alrms
-Mechanix gloves, a pair of leather gloves and structural firefighting gloves
-Petzl headlamp and flashlight
-Wilson Tactical CopTool
-Locking caribiner
-knife of some sort(right now it's a Spyderco Salt)
-sprinker plugs and door wedges
-Laertal(sp.) pocket mask
-barrier gloves
-pump operators' cards with pump formulas and what-not
-length of nylon webbing for various duties
On my person I carry a Leatherman, a knife(right now a Spyderco caly-3) and a 3watt light. In the winter, I add mitts and neoprene face mask.
That's about it, I think.

I was going to ask about the door stops..I also like the rubber ball idea. And I note that you all carry backups of everything.
