Not sure if this goes here because it's not a knife, or "good bad and ugly" because it's about service. I dunno, maybe someone wants a fire resistant cabinet for guns or knives. Anyways...

We purchased a used FireKing cabinet from an individual (not an official dealer). It was missing a part for the lock, which I suspect was removed intentionally by the previous owner to disable the lock.

I called FireKing, someone answered, and they mailed me a replacement part for free (regular mail, I didn't ask about overnight or anything). It wasn't a complex or expensive part, but having bought the cabinet used they could have easily asked for money. They also knew exactly what their product looked like on the inside, knew exactly what part I was asking for, and even had me check some other parts of the lock assembly to make sure I didn't need anything else.

This decent company is an extreme example of things the way they should be . They are a vanishing breed being replaced by greedy, grasping bottom liners. I'v'e seen things go from sugsr to shix in my lifetime....
