Awhile back I posted version 1.0 of this style. I wasn't happy with the fit of the firesteel in the butt and the customer wanted the handle a little different plus another smaller version. So, here they are. Reworked the insert and shaped out the handles a little different. Let me know what you think!

It worked. Do the firesteels lock in the butt?

Tension only. I haven't figured out a way get a bearing type detent or something like that. I put a layer of epoxy in insert flats and it makes a pretty positive seal. The handles slabs finished out like crap (not industrial Micarta) but overall a very solid piece. If anyone has suggestions on lockup for the inserts, please let me know.
