How many of you out there were able to get your hands on one of these when they were available? and anyone know if its still possible to get one?

These were only a limited run, rarely come up for sale by collectors.

The Firesteel SAK is a variation based on the the Feuerschlagmesser (Fire Striker Knife), a knife manufactured for renowned knife collector Horst Brunner of Switzerland. The Feuerschlagmesser featured a steel striker on a special back spring add to a Soldier 1961 model. The striker is for use with Flint rock to create sparks for fire starting. Victorinox produced a number of the Feuerschlagmesser for Mr. Brunner. In 2009 and 2010 Victorinox produced a number of Firesteel SAKs in the form of the Firesteel Farmer for SwissBianco in different colored Alox scales. The initial 2009 run was sold with a piece of Flint rock and Fungus Firestarter material . In 2010 the knives were sold without the extra fire starting accessories. While this variation is named the Firesteel SAK, it includes a steel striker on the back (same as the Feuerschlagmesser), and not a Ferro Rod which is now commonly referred to as a Firesteel.
