Firesteel Striker recommendation?

Would one of the old style camping GI style can openers work as a stiker for firesteel?. They are cheap and serve another purpose.

Tungsten Carbide works best. Find an old tool bit.

i use a jig saw blade as a striker, they are cheap, easily to replace and they throw sparks very well

Anything with a sharp edge should work. The can opener is a good idea.

I like to use the awl on my SAK.

I recently made one using the small carbide scraper blade that I got at Home Depot for $5, epoxied into a small piece of Ipe. It really throws the sparks.
