Hey Guys

There are some firesteels on review in the current issue of Survival Kit Mag.

If you are interested in that area of bushcraft you will enjoy.

The Sparkie seemed like a cool gadget with the one-handed striking, but turned out not to be so great.
 
good read.. why didnt they test firesteel.com model?

Any way to get editions 1-6 somewhere?

I've heard the Armageddon is good from that website. Any idea how much it weighs? It looks a bit on the chunky side.

Issues 1-6 of SKM are not currently available for download, but I'll let you know if/when they become available.
 
I liked the review of the UCO micro and mini too. Shame they didn't include the original UCO. It is a good sturdy unit that gives a bit more heat and light than the other two. It also collapses.
