Here are a few pictures of my first completed knife after getting my ABS Journeyman Smith stamp. The knife was completed back in September; however I just completed the sheath yesterday. This is the first of my Appalachian retro series of knives. Retro because I’m using reclaimed Wormy Chestnut (stabilized) for the handle and wrought iron for the guard. The blade is forged from 5160, the overall length is 13.6 inches and the blade is 8.5 inches long.

Thanks for stopping by,
Ken

Very nice, small remark about your website: On the Available page, the link for the chefs knife links to a fighter. So either the picture of the chefs knife is wrong or the pictures of the fighter are incorrect. You might want to fix that.

Lovely stuff though. Love the reclaimed character of the materials.

The television hit "Moonshiners" is filmed in the Appalachians. You should send one to them. I bet Tickle would wield this bad boy.
