I am looking for something to practice shooting in-doors. My plan is to setup a pellet trap and shoot across my basement. I will be using non-lead pellets.

The only things I care about in a pellet gun are
-Must have iron sights
-Around $100
-As accurate as possible

P.S. Illinois says that anything bigger than .177 cal or faster than 700FPS is a firearm, so I would like to keep it below those limits.

For an indoor gun you don't want much power, and for target shooting with non lead pellets a single stroke pnumatic sounds like just the ticket. Something like this. http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/model.pl?model_id=585 Daisy makes a wood stocked version with nicer sights in their avanti line, called the 853. Those are around 300 though, and if my memory of the ones I shot in high school JROTC is any indication they aren't worth that much.

Edit: I also don't like daisy pellets much, they tend to be really dirty with lots of lead flakes in the tin. My favorite match pellets are RWS Meisterkugeln match pellets. I don't shoot well enough to see a real difference in accuracy, but it's nice not having to worry about seals being damaged by metal flakes everywhere. *just saw you'll be using non-lead pellets. If you do get lead ones though these are good, you won't need to worry about dust anywhere.

I agree; one of those nice single-stroke weapons should be fine. It's been many years since I did any great amount of air-rifle shooting, but I had a Benjamin pnuematic that I literally put many thousands of rounds though.

I started using the readily-available Benjamin pellets, but accuracy was only so-so.
Then I ordered some RWS pellets from the old Herter's mail-order firm. What a difference!
The Benjamin pellets were often deformed and rim thickness was uneven to the naked eye.
The RWS items were all perfectly round and consistent.

Take a look at the IZH-61, its a bit more than $100 and even more after shipping but they are very adjustable for the price. Also the reviews I've seen are pretty favorable.
