First and Second Generation Logos

Some members have questions about the difference between First and Second Generation Becker's. As far as the logos go, the First Gen has stamped logos and the Second Gen has laser etched logos. As far as the blade coating, the First has a smooth coating and the Second has a rough, textured coating. The rough coating has been described as being similar to the coating on a truck bed.

If I would have purchased a 1st gen, I would not have stripped the coating. IMO the former coating just looks better.

If we could get GenII logos with GenI coating, I'd be a happy camper. Easier to strip and still pretty usable with the coating on, as it was thin and smooth.
