First attempt at a friction folder

I thought I would try a friction folder. It has intergral liners and bolsters made from 7075 T-6 aluminum, .125" thick CPM-154CM blade and carbon fibre graphite scales. It is 10 1/4" overall, a real handful but not heavy, feels real good in the hand. I need to weigh it when I get somewhere I can. It was fun and my design lets me move into button locks next and then an automatic version. I will put more pictures up in the gallery. The photographer (me) didn't do this one any favors:)
Thanks and God Bless!

Wow....I like that

Damn it now it is going on the list of things to make:thumbup:

Jim, OUTSTANDING!!!! bro that is a keeper for sure..

is this a kit or from scratch, either way I'm impressed.....

someday, many days, light years away, I would love to try my hand at a folder..

pics with it open please :)

Now that's probably the most exotic friction folder I've ever seen. I like the way it flows, nice shape to it. Would like to see pics with the blade open though.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys!!!!! for more pictures, go to the gallery, I have put some there. I am anxious to make a button lock next. These things are a challenge for me right now....but fun. Oh and it is no kit, I made it from scratch.
