First attempt at a Kwaiken style knife

[AA Forge]

This is my very first attempt at a kwaiken. This knife is hand forged from 1084fg and heat treated to a 60-61rc. Convex grind with a 4 1/4" x .130" blade and a 4 1/2" handle. The handle is epoxy soaked paracord with white linen micarta for the base and peened copper pins. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, but I learned a lot and will be making some changes for the next ones.

I ended up trying a couple of new base wrap types to see how they worked. I think I prefer the micarta base, but they're not bad.

This week was a mini kwaiken, a 4" kwaiken and a 9 1/2" tanto.
