So I did not want my first attempt at convexing to be a real expensive knife, so I put a shaving sharp, convex edge on my Buck 102, and put a better satin finish on. All I have to do now is put a polish on the edge. Let me know what you guys think of it.

2nd pic is pretty blurry, but the finish looks pretty good in the first pic. Damn good 1st attempt I would say. I hope mine comes out that well. What did you do the work with?

Edit:: Is damn good legal here? Ready and willing to hack that sucker out of my post if not. Please don't beat me with the infraction stick. On that note, is hella legal? Like "This knife isn't stupid sharp, but it's hella sharp."

That convex edge is looking good. Especially for a first attempt. Take up to polish and it should be screamin sharp.

Wow...now my post makes me look like a total crackhead.....put your old pics back in so my response still makes sense.

The new pics are great. How long did it take you to do that?

Thanks! It took me about 2 hours. I will post the old pics right now.

Pretty cool. You can get good practice on old cheap kitchen knives, btw.
