I've got a Marttiini Timberjack fixed blade that came with a large and unwieldy plastic sheath, so I've decided to try to make a Kydex taco sheath for it.
It's my first attempt at making a knife sheath so some things are messy and probably done wrong. I know that some of the holes weren't placed properly, the edges aren't as neat as I want them to be, and overall it could've been smaller and neater. The little piggy-back lighter sheath was made previously for another knife, so the holes did not quite match up, had to drill out the holes a bit to make it fit. I used a dremel, a drill, a heat gun, and copious amounts of sandpaper to smooth everything out. Blade retention is quite good, it goes in and out with an audible click, does not fly out if I wave the sheath around.
