First time attempting to strip a blade...

I used Klean-Strip spray, let it sit for about 15 minutes then used a rubber scraper and pulled it off. Cleaned it with soap and water and been sitting here with a sanding block. About to hit it with a finishing pad.

Just did my first time recently too, on the same knife (guess it's a good starter, not too much area to sand!) Looks nice dude.

Nice to see so many successful powdercoat strips. I'm going to do mine as soon as I get back from Vancouver, BC on April 2.

Now apply some gun blue and watch it magically turn into something beautiful!

I dunno... I'm TEMPTED to do the 3... or I might wait till I get my new ones. I need to get better sanding stuff though. I only have a sanding block and finishing pad right now.

Today I had to go get a belt sander cause the stripping completely removed my edge... That or it was already gone from use... either way I had no cutable edge. So I just got a cheapy black and decker from Home Depot (was already there getting rebar). It works... Not GREAT but it does work.

This is my "work area" at the parent's house. Grinder, Vice, and Belt Sander. Also bucket of water to keep from ruining the heat treat.
