simple sheath.jpg IMG_0762 (1).jpeg IMG_0763.jpeg I don't usually build sheaths but focus on scabbards for MUCH larger blades. However, a friend asked if I could do a couple of sheaths for some knife kits his father made for him and I told him I would give it a go. I thought they didn't turn out too badly although after seeing Chris's first attempt below I think I've still got some things to learn!
 
I like it. Functional. It has a nice rugged, rustic look.

One of the things I have learned for my own preferences is I'm always a fan of rounded corners on a sheath for comfort, and using the minimum amount of material protruding from the profile of the knife, also for comfort and aesthetics as well.
