Hey all! Just had to say my first Becker, the Bk2, arrived today and I cannot wait to pay with it. I'm guessing I need to loosen the screws on the sheath cause I couldnt pull it out, but I was pressed for time so I'll do it tomorrow. Plus I'll get some pics up to share. Just had to share the excitement!

Right on! It seems as if the BK2 is the first Becker for many folks. I hear if you pop the first rivet it makes the sheath a lot easier to deal with. Bet there's a tutorial somewhere around here for that or something.

Welcome :)

if you loosen those screws it won't do anything to loosen the sheath, just remove one of the rivets on the top, the one on the blade side works excellent.

OMG, at first I just assumed I was a wimp (yeah yeah, I know I opened up the floodgates) but damn, pulling that BK2 out for the first time was a chore. I was trying hard to make sure I didn't slice my left hand off when I finally popped the blade out.

Thanks guys. Yeah, it's a beast of knife. And I'm not the biggest guy, but certainly not the smallest, and it took forever to pull it out of the sheath. I'm going to need to take the rivet out as suggested just to be able to use it. But I love the knife and will get some images up this afternoon.
