Just bought my first Becker! For years I have been into anything outdoors related, but I let my health go in the last decade and found myself having a hard time pursuing my bushcraft skills. Well, I finally got tired of that, started eatig right, woring out and getting back into fighting shape! Well, I am happy to report that I lost 83 lbs in the last four months (I look like a different man!) and it has inspired me to get back out there and test myself.

Being a knife nut, I thought I knew a lot about what the best blade for the field would be, but my recent research lead me to looking into serious bushcraft blades. I found out so much more in the last few weeks than I knew before! It is so nice to come here and get some real world information...not just a "well, it is a cool looking knife" type feedback.

Anywho, after a bit of research, I found myself looking closer at the Becker line. After serious consideration, I am now the proud owner of a BK7! Just wanted to drop in and say thanks to everyone for your testing, input and discussion...it made the choice so much easier!

PS - I plan to share a lot more in the coming days. Got some field work to do!

Nice choice - congratulations on the new blade. Last time I used my seven it bit me. handle her with care.

Awesome - congrats! Just got one myself and wow, what a blade. And a sincere congratulations on your health journey. That is an amazing accomplishment and took a lot of commitment on your part. Really, really awesome all around!

Congrats on the BK7. The BK7 was my first Becker also. The BK7 is a beauty of a knife.

Nice one Swiss! That was a mighty fine feat of self control and dedication on your part to get back into shape bud. That's awesome. But as healthy as you are now, please understand, you now have a serious disease. Beckeritis. It's incurable and it's symptoms are exacerbated by further purchases. But we all have it. You're not alone. Stick around. We're good therapists (but horrible influences) :D

BK-7, great all-arounder.

Now rememer, Becker Knives are like lays potato chips!

BK16 next!

Congratulations on the health choices/changes. That's a huge achievement, and you'll thank yourself daily.

GREAT choice with the BK7. It's probably my favorite BK, and I love them all. You'll probably end up owning most of them before you're done, but you're picking great ones to start things off.
