So, I tried it out...It's no where near as good as some of the pros on here have done. But, for my first time, I think I did ok..I think I'll try it again on something else..What do ya'll think?

I'm posting again cuz I like it that much........that two tone on the handle is stellar!

Sweetness! LOL did u happen to learn from my bonehead error and protect the edge so it didnt etch? Took me quite awhile to work my edge clean on the 'stone.

Very nice, I would like to do that to one of my knives at one point. I think it looks great, I think all etches look very nice I especially like that every one is a little different. I really like the two- tone handle, how long did you leave it in the solution?

Wow dude, thanks...It's just some sanding and a couple of blue jobs and some steel wool for a little shine...I had your POST #25 on my iPad open the entire time heh.

about 40 mins...I stripped it this weekend and when I got home from the office, I cleaned it up all pretty like, hit it with some sandpaper for a second wiped it down and applied the blue...I used more on the handle then the blade so I could get a little contrast.

came back to look again....awesome!

I have a 11 coming in the mail, gonna mod it up for a friend...maybe after I play with it I'll ''need'' one for myself!

Thanks dude...what are you planning to do to your friends 11?

she saw my Becker pics on Facebook....so she demanded I ''pretty her up one''. After much deciding, she went with the 11. I have free rein, she just wants some shiny and pink.

I'm thinking either-
A) top half of blade, handle and spine Krylon-baked pink, with lower half of blade polished, with black micarta

or

B) All steel polished, with pink micarta

C) Blade polished, handle bleach-etched/blued with pink micarta

I'll be making the micarta, and gonna wrap it up in some kydex for her.

She also wants a lanyard so she can ''find it in her purse"...I'm thinking lanyard attached to the Sheath instead of to the knife itself so as not to interfere with the bottleopener.

Looks awesome dude great job. They're gonna start calling it 'greybushing' instead of 'cliching' haha. (Just kidding clich I know you're the etch deity)

Sweet . I like how the handle slowly changes from the natural steel grey to that dark blue.

I didn't come up with it so I'd be happy to pass the torch along

I got "greybushed" at a nursing home once... But in all seriousness I just got lucky. I appreciate it though.
