Well, I have made the leap into Beckerdom. Went with a classic - the BK2. No doubt more to come. Have said this before - but these knives remind me of Glocks. Simple; effective; reliable; and the same basic theme transmitted over a wide range of product models. And relatively inexpensive.

Made my decision based on info/opinion on this site - so thanks & Cheers.

Congrats on the new purchase!

The BK-2 was my first as well. It got me hooked on Becker knives!

Right on! Never had a 2 but I hear it's a fine blade. ;)

We're gonna need pics for proof. :D

The bk2 is a very capable knife and I'm sure that this is just the start. Welcome to the club!

Anticipation makes the receiving so much sweeter! My used (via eBay) Gerber LMF II arrived yesterday, so am occupied fooling around with it. Do not know "the streets" opinion on Gerber products, but this one seems to be a pretty solid hunk o' knife! But WTH does "LMF" stand for? Cheers.

The Gerber LMF 2 is one of their best knives, IMHO. And welcome to the Becker Fold. You made a great choice with your sharpened pry bar. :)

Pry bar indeed! You may need one of those someday. Will probably go bigger (BK9), and smaller (BK11), with my next selections. Cheers.

I am considering the BK2 aswell, though I really like the lines of the BK7. My intro to Beckerdom was "the king", AKA BK9. After one hike with the 9, I fell completely in love with it.

Please let us know what you think of th BK2, tuica. I'm looking forward to hear your assessment of the sharpened pry-bar.

Thanks Warrior, and will post comments on "the 2" St. Loke. Cheers.

Rec'd the BK2 yesterday. Have not used it yet, but looks to be a "tank" of a blade, and love the hand - filling scales.

One interesting observation is that there is a small scratch running across the top of the metal - side to side - about 1 and 1/2" back from where the grip begins. Very shallow, does not appear to be a crack, but looks like perhaps a measurement mark on the bar stock. My first Bek so wondering if this is common. Thanks for the replies. Cheers.
