i like the longer blade. it also seems a hair thicker. blade shape is great too. sheath is kinda large, but it works great.

Glad you got it. I hate it took so long, but, I have been neck deep in so many things, I can't even begin to tell ya. If it matters, I'm in Longview Tx. right now, and will be in LA next week. Work is kicking things around pretty good, but soccer season is ending, my work travel should be tapering off, oh, and I got some new fishing equipment coming soon.

Love that BK14, my prediction, it will be your new neck blade.

Congrats Matt

In a few days you'll start getting the shakes, and you'll be tempted to buy a 9 or a 2

Excellent! You have started with the most useful Becker(for everyday tasks). 556 is right about the shakes, but they go away when you place an order.

Time to nut-up or shut-up, add the BK2 and you will have full becker powers....

Eskabar is Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet

not too sure about the BK2. i tried an ESEE5 on passaround and it was nice, but kinda heavy. i imagine the BK2 will be similar.

im torn between the 9 and the 5. im in no rush though, since large knives arent super useful in an urban environment. ;)

i love my eskabar, only problem is that one side ( the ESSEE side:D:p ) smells like the decomped big blond coyote that got hit by a car that i scavenged some nice white K9s off while taking a walk on a road by some farmland in town.so after 4 baby wipes and multiple washings still smell like dead coyote. i dont know what to do :o. other than that its a great edc knife! good choice!

The BK2 is nothing like the ESEE5, I have a couple in both, and they are similar in thickness, but there the list ends. Different knives with different purposes, but both are damn good knives.
