I've been a stalker of this forum for a while, but now I have finally decided to post. I got my first Becker this past Christmas, a Bk14. I had been debating on whether or not to strip it. Finally I decided to. The patina came out alright. I'd like to change it, but I think I will just let it change with use. I also drilled the whole in scales and sanded them with 220 grit paper. They don't look the prettiest, but I like the feeling much more.

I had also been eyeing a 16 for quite some time. So I decided to buy one about three weeks ago. After stripping the 14, I did the same to the 16. Also sanded the scales.

And here they are together.

I like the way the patina turned out on the 16 much more. I guess it helps once you know how the metal reacts. It was very enjoyable doing the few mods. What made it the best though is that my wife got in on the patinaing. She didn't see the thrill at first, but once she started, she did my Spyderco and asked about the kitchen knives.
Hopefully I can get out this week and put these two to use.
Hope you all enjoy the pictures (hopefully they worked). This is an awesome community.
