yea! My Torrent 890 came in the mail yesterday. It's my first Benchmade. It's a great looking knife. The blade design is really attractive. One thing I was worried about was the liner lock. For me liner locks have just not seemed confidence inspiring, but this one seems to be pretty solid. The G-10 handle is nice. Gripping it in my hand, I don't think slipping will be an issue even under heavier use if needed. The nitrous assist is nice to have. Doesn't throw the blade open to aggressively. Overall, the knife has a nice feel in my hand for what is is.
My only one dissapointment is that straight out of the box, the blade was not really sharp. Barely cut paper. Certainly would not shave hair, and toilet paper laughed at it. So not owning any sharpening tools, now I need to make my way over to the maintance forum.
