Just got my first benchmade, adamas first production in black. Gotta say, is not a bad knife. I come from a kershaw zt background exclusively. This was a big step out for me and I'm not disappointed. Opens with a thumb flick and closes one handed. Impressed so far

Thanks for ur consideration.

Congrats on your first Benchmade, it's a beauty. I really like the Adamas design but the black blade is a deal breaker for me. I am hopeful that they will have a future version with a satin or stonewashed blade.

I loves me a ZT but I do find the axis more fun to play with. I need to find an Adamas to play with. I'm still not sure that I like the look.

Congrats on picking up your first BM.

The Adamas is on my list of blades to pick up.

I'm a big fan of ZT as well and pretty soon picking up a 0550.

I've loved Benchmade for a long time, as my 940BK was one of my first more expensive knife purchases many years ago now.

Great to hear you like the Adamas overall though.

I really want to use it, but i dont think i can. First production shouldnt be used. Probably going to put in the exchange

Congrats, that is rather a daunting first knife for a benchmade- the sheer girth of the handle puts me off it, but then again you come from a lineage of ZT(although ZT are leaner, still too rough for me- cannot wait for the Rexford and RJ Martin).

Enjoy it, I would like to see posts of what you use it for in the future, other than a TANK field strip:D

Or you could always buy another one, and use it. That way the First Production Run blade doesn't get all messed up.

I'm on the hunt for my second one. The green/black handled one. Limited to 100. Hope they are still around.
