I recently picked up a BHK Brumby with saber grind and green micarta scales. I've heard good things about BHK for a while, but have to say I'm very impressed with the fit and finish of this knife. Most of my user knives are 1095. How does the O1 compare as far as edge retention and ease of sharpening?

I have noticed it to be a little harder to sharpen but will hold a finer edge for a longer period of time, but ymmv. I like it a lot, I am a Huge fan of Beckers (1095cv), I have 6 and I just ordered my first custom and it will be in 01, if that says anything of the steel.

On the point of it being harder to sharpen, if you have diamond stones or SiC sandpaper you will find that it is actually not that difficult at all. It also responds well to a loaded strop all the way up to bare leather and bare paper, if you want to mirror polish the edge.
