Hello all. Just received my first Becker the other day and today my 710 sheath came in the mail. Couldn't be happier! Looking forward to getting it nice and dirty. Haven't figured out a handle yet. Can't decide whether to order the zytel or micarta or get some custom ones or what.

Glad to be here!

Congrats on the new steel, and welcome to the forum.

Congrats on the new blade. I do not own the 24 but I have been lusting... I have the 14 and the zytel scales are pretty awesome. They are cheap and they make the knife uber comfortable.

I was thinking on trying the zytel ones out. Maybe add some stippling.

Great choice for a first knife! If I could go back & do it again, I'd start with a 14/24 first. You just get so much out of edc-ing a blade that size. And now that I have both 14 & 24 I basically never leave home without a great knife in my pocket!

Enjoy yours & keep posting pics.

Try a paracord wrap before you spend any money buying any scales. You'd be AMAZED how comfortable it can be. I've got several different 14/24/izulas/ Some have scales, some are wrapped.

Nice pick up though. I love my 24.

If I could afford it, I'd get a few more 14s and a couple 24s. I love my 14 and, since I've had it, it has replaced my folder as EDC (although I can only carry a folder at work, now it has become less of me, and is just another piece of gear.) My small fixed blade is a part of me now. I'll never go back to a folder....well maybe a SAK ;)

I feel an addiction starting! I'd love to have several of these.....and a 9? I here you can't not have one. ;)

I've tried para cord before on different knives and prefer something more solid (g-10, micarta, etc.). I also don't like how long it takes to dry if I have to wash the knife/handle several times a day. I do like wrapping and the feel of the grip though.

Thanks for all the welcomes and tips guys!
