from what ive heard from this forum Himalayan imports is the place to go.

I want a khukuri that I can use and treasure and eventually pass on,not a fragile safe queen.

I was looking at khukuri houses models and they have a few models with a more non traditional grip that seems to fit the hand better i haven't bought from them but im just trying to collect as much information as I can before i make a decision ,as I do not have much in the way of money.

The cold steel khukuris just dont do it for me....The best one they sell is like 300 dollars...and i know if i spent 300 dollars on something made by hand id have a way nicer product.

I need a strong blade in a "panawal" style blade....full tang and at least 4 pins securing the handles to the blade. A nice scabbard ....olive drab leather(a light brown would work too) with the 2 little accessory knives.

Do you guys make something to these specs?

I like the m43 style the handle though is it comfortable to long use?

Closest khukuri to that description would be this, the Super CAK, so far the only one of its kind made by H.I.

Other considerations would be the standard Chiruwa Ang Khola, the Bonecutter, or the M43, all of which are panawal handled khukuris.

Welcome:)

It sounds like you have a pretty specific idea of what you want. I would email Yangdu directly at himimp@aol.com and tell her exactly what you are looking for. She can give you an idea of cost and timeframe. On top of that, she is a fantastic lady with whom to do business.

As far as comfortable handles go, I find the smooth M-43 handle to be SUPER comfortable to use long term. I really like that style of handle on my Ang Khola Boomerang.
